The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, was reportedly asleep during the National Peace Committee meeting that was held in Abuja.
The meeting which was the first public meeting Tinubu would oblige to since campaigns began, was organised to ensure proper conduct of the candidates, their parties and other stakeholders, especially during the campaigns ahead of the elections.
Premium Politics reported that the meeting was led by a former military Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar, with the leadership of the 18 registered political parties and their presidential candidates on Friday, including the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore; the vice presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ifeanyi Okowa; and New Nigeria Peoples Party, Bishop Isaac Idahosa.
During the meeting, Sowore, captured the moment Tinubu was asleep, after which the meeting ended he shared the picture on his Twitter handle.
He wrote, “We just returned from a meeting of party leaders/Presidential candidates with the national peace committee in Abuja, the Presidential candidate of The @OfficialAPCNg @officialABAT slept through the meeting, he didn’t say a word. His party chair spoke on his behalf.”
