The Presidency has announced that President Bola Tinubu will return to Nigeria from his trip to Europe on Wednesday.
The Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the president, Bayo Onanuga, made this announcement in a statement via his official X handle on Tuesday.
According to Onanuga, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, along with his aides, will return to Nigeria tomorrow from Europe.”
President Tinubu embarked on his trip on April 22, leaving Abuja for the Kingdom of The Netherlands on an official visit. Ajuri Ngelale, the presidential spokesperson, stated that Tinubu’s visit to The Netherlands was at the invitation of Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
Following his engagements in The Netherlands, President Tinubu traveled to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to attend a special World Economic Forum meeting held between April 28 and 29.
It was anticipated that Tinubu would return to Nigeria after the forum in Saudi Arabia. However, as of now, he has not yet returned from his trip to Europe, sparking speculations about his whereabouts.
There have been reports suggesting that the president traveled to London from Saudi Arabia for a private visit before allegedly heading to France for medical reasons.
