Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, has officially defected to the All Progressives Congress.
Dikeh was a running mate to Rivers State governorship candidate of African Democratic Congress, Tonte Ibraye, at the 2023 general election.
She will be officially received today, October 23, at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja by the APC National Women Leader, Dr. Mary Alile.
In the build up to President Bola Tinubu’s campaign in September 2022, Nollywood legend, Zack Orji, was appointed a director in the Performing and Creative Art Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
While, Yoruba Nollywood veteran, Jide Kosoko, was announced as secretary of the directorate, Saheed Balogun emerged as the assistant spokesperson of the directorate.
Other celebrities on the list were Kannywood star, Ali Nuhu; Gentle Jack, Bimbo Akintola, Benedict Johnson, Funke Daramola, Remi Oshodi, Eberechuckwu Eberechi, Hafsat Saheed, Isa Rabiu, Taiwo Hassan, Yul Edochie among others.
Dikeh has now joined the league of her colleagues in the ruling party.
