President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday, attended a special Jummah service prayer at the Lagos central mosque, Nnamdi Azikwe Street, on Lagos Island.
The President who got to Lagos on Wednesday, to celebrate the 2023 Eid-el-Kabir festival, was received amidst a rowdy welcome at the Muritala International Airport, by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Officials of the Lagos State Government, Leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress and his teaming supporters, who escorted him in an entourage of many vehicles, from the airport to his Lagos residence.
The president who is in Lagos for the first time after his inauguration in May, observed his Eid prayer at Obalende Eid Praying ground on Wednesday and was warmly received by the Chief Imam, Abu Naola who led the prayer.
Similarly, he was hosted at the State House, Marina on Thursday, in a welcome event organized by Governor Sanwo-Olu, which was attended by many important personalities in the society, such as the Chairman of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the immediate Former Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, Former Governor of Lagos, Akinwunmi Ambode, and many others, to honour the President’s return to his home town, after his first foreign trip as a President, to France and London, United Kingdom respectively.
However, reports revealed that he may be returning to Abuja, the Federal Capital City on Tuesday, to return to the office for his official duties.
