President Bola Tinubu’s return to Nigeria after a two-week official trip abroad was shrouded in controversy as the Presidency decided not to release any pictures or videos of his return.
However, a day after his arrival, the Presidency released a video of President Tinubu officially resuming work at the Villa.
The video, shared by the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, showed President Tinubu at his desk, receiving a briefing from various government officials at the State House.
The caption read: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu back at his desk this morning, receives briefing from HM @bosuntijani, NCC EVC and HM Wale Edun, HM of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy at the State House.”
Accompanied by his security aides, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, and other aides, President Tinubu resumed work after his trip abroad.
Tinubu’s official visit took him to the Kingdom of The Netherlands, followed by Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he attended the World Economic Forum.
During his trip, he engaged with global leaders to attract more investors to Nigeria. President Tinubu returned to the country on Wednesday, May 8.
