The Zamfara State Government has announced that it is yet to receive the 20 trucks of rice allocated to it by the Federal Government, despite earlier assurances of dispatch.
This revelation was made by the Director General of Media and Communication to the State Governor, Nuhu Salisu Anka, in a telephone interview with newsmen in Gusau, the state capital on Saturday.
Anka said, “Zamfara State is yet to receive its allocation of 20 trucks of rice, which was approved by the Federal Government.”
He emphasized that the state government is still awaiting the arrival of the consignments, which were supposed to be part of a federal initiative to support state governments.
Anka assured journalists that he would notify them as soon as the allocation arrives in Zamfara State.
He said, “The moment the consignments arrive, I will ensure that journalists are notified about the arrival of the allocation to Zamfara State.”
