Labour party standard bearer, Peter Obi, has revealed why Nigerians will choose him over counterparts in the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, All Progressives Congress, and Bola Tinubu, among others.
During a Wednesday night interview on Arise TV Obi claimed that he is the most trustworthy and qualified candidate contesting the 2023 presidential election.
The former Anambra State governor said that he’s the most qualified of all candidates, adding that while the agenda for the 2023 elections of all the 18 contenders for the presidential seat is the same, he’s the only one who can deliver.
The Labour party presidential candidate said that all the 18 presidential candidates. have similar ideologies.
He addedthat Nigerian politics has not matured to the point where different ideologies matters as every political candidate have the same agenda but he’s the only one most qualified to deliver.
He said, “There are no different ideologies between all of us who are running. I have said it before, our politics has not matured to a point where you have different ideologies, and different beliefs in everything we are doing at the presidential level.
“So, there’s not much difference. So, what we have competing today or what Nigerians need to choose from is that of all these people promising the same thing, who can they trust? So, what we are selling now is trust, what we are selling now is Character.”
When asked if the trust will make Nigerians choose him (Peter Obi) in preference to his counterpart, Atiku Abubakar whom they once ran a joint ticket in 2019.
He replied, “Yes, in preference and I believe I’m the most qualified”.
