The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, on Sunday, led the FCT community in paying Sallah homage to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House Banquet Hall.
This visit was part of the celebrations marking the conclusion of the 2025 Ramadan fast and the Eid-El-Fitr holiday.
During the visit, Wike presented a Sallah greeting card to President Tinubu on behalf of the residents of the Federal Capital Territory.
Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu called on Nigerians to carry the spirit of goodwill and piety cultivated during Ramadan beyond the celebrations.
His appeal highlighted the importance of continued acts of kindness and commitment to good deeds. The President made these remarks shortly after observing the Eid-El-Fitr prayers at the National Eid ground in Abuja on Sunday.
Tinubu urged citizens to avoid reverting to their old ways and instead focus on living a life marked by integrity, piety, and dedication to the welfare of others. “Do not go back to the past; instead, let the lessons of Ramadan guide your actions moving forward,” he stated.
The President’s message was in harmony with the festive spirit of Eid-El-Fitr, a time traditionally marked by charity, gratitude, and the strengthening of communal ties.
Accompanying President Tinubu at the Eid prayers were Vice President Kashim Shettima, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, along with several members of the Federal Executive Council and lawmakers.
