The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, on Monday pledged to support the New Nigeria Peoples Party presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, with logistics for his campaign in Rivers State.
This is coming barely a week after the Rivers governor also promised the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, logistic support.
But speaking on Monday, wike described the NNPP presidential candidate as a “friend and a man of integrity”.
The governor stated this at the inauguration of the Mgbutanwo Internal Roads in Emohua Local Government Area of the state.
He said, “I remember when I went to meet you in your house in Abuja to plead with you not to leave the party (PDP) because I knew you were an asset to the party. Even when they told me to leave you alone, I refused.
“I have known you and I know you are a man of integrity so I want to say that whenever you want to campaign in Rivers State, I will provide you with all your logistics, just let me know when you want to come.”
On the projects, Wike said, “We just commissioned the ninth flyover last week and we will commission the 10th before the end of the year. We will also commission the 11th and 12th flyover next year.
“I said I will turn turn Emuoha around, have I not done it? I brought the best construction company in Nigeria to construct this road.”
