Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, has visited wounded Ukrainian soldiers who are being treated in a US hospital.
Zelensky came in New York on Monday to address the United Nations General Assembly and ask for more aid as Ukraine, more than 18 months into the war, moves ahead with a high-stakes counteroffensive to retake territory from Russian forces.
Prior to meeting with world leaders, Zelensky visited Staten Island University Hospital, where a group of Ukrainian troops is receiving prosthetic arms and legs as well as rehabilitation services.
The Ukrainian president watched as six troops in khaki uniform practised walking and lifting weights with recently acquired prosthetic legs and arms in a huge hospital room.
